It is the vision of the Franklin County Prevention Coalition to engage community members in creating environmental change to reduce substance abuse and violence for future generations.


The Franklin County Prevention Coalition is a community coalition that brings people and organizations together to reduce youth substance abuse and violence through education and prevention strategies in Franklin County.


Talk to Me! Children of parents who talk to their teens regularly about drugs are 42% less likely to use drugs than those who don’t, yet only a quarter of teens report having these conversations. Talk to your teens!!

How can I keep my medicines safe? Count them regularly! Lock them up! Dispose of any old medications! We have lock boxes available to you! Dropbox disposals are located at all city and county police departments!

What Can I Do to Prevent My Child from Using E-cigarettes or to Help Them Stop? - Set a good example by being tobacco free -Talk to your child or teen about why e-cigarettes are harmful for them. It’s never too late.
